Our heritage reproduction windows combine timeless beauty and traditional joinery techniques with modern hardware options and energy efficient glazing.

Heritage reproduction

Our experience spans all historical Australian architectural styles, from the ornate Victorian era, to the symmetry and geometric lines of Art Deco, through to the modern forms and materials of the mid-twentieth century.

We use only the highest-grade solid timber, bringing it into the workshop rough sawn so that we can more precisely replicate existing windows and doors. The key difference in our work is the close attention we pay to the finer details, ensuring accurate reproduction of all sash profiles, horn shapes and mouldings.

Through heritage photographs or basing our work on neighbouring buildings, we can also recreate original windows and doors that may have been lost or replaced with newer styles over the years

All our timber comes into the workshop rough sawn, and is machined and dressed especially for your project. Our experienced tradespeople exactly match existing heritage profiles, ensuring your windows look seamless, whether you are replacing one window or every window.

Replacing worn or rotten joinery with precision, solid timber replica windows results in significant benefits, including:

  • Maintain authentic heritage appearance
  • Greater thermal performance (reduce your energy bills)
  • Ease of operation (opening and closing)
  • Lower ongoing maintenance (solid timber crafted using traditional methods)
  • Enhanced security
  • No disturbing hazardous lead paint

Casement and double-hung windows

Double-hung and casement windows are the cornerstone of traditional timber joinery, and our tradespeople can accurately replicate any design to maintain the authentic charm of your home.

For double-hung windows, we offer both traditional weights and pulleys and modern counterbalance systems. Many customers are moving toward counterbalance double-hung windows as a cost-effective option that provides greater ventilation without spoiling heritage appearance.

Enhanced glazing performance

Double glazing and modern single glazing options can improve the safety, security, sound, and thermal performance of your period replica windows.

Using specialised double glazing enables us to accurately match narrow glazing bars common in period styles, maximising the performance of your windows without compromising heritage appearance.

Our highly regarded leadlight supply partner can also design an original stained-glass piece for your specific project, or can restore, repair and triple glaze your existing lead lights to be reused within your new joinery.
